3-day tourism fair begins in Kolkata before Puja, overflowing crowd
Bengali’s best festival Durga Puja is still few months late. During Puja, there are not less people who pack their bags and go out. Keeping that in mind, the three-day Tourism Fair 2026 (Tourism Fair 2026) has started in Kolkata. The fair started with much fanfare at Kolkata’s Khudiram practice center on Friday. The fair will continue till next Sunday.

Ministry of Tourism of India, West Bengal Tourism Department, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board, Andhra Pradesh Tourism and Chandigarh Tourism have participated in this year’s tourism fair. Apart from the tourism departments of various states, numerous leading travel agencies, hoteliers and tour operators of the country have stalls here. Pranab Prakash said from the opening stage that the West Bengal Tourism Department is taking several positive steps to improve the quality of tourism in the state and India Tourism is also very active in the development of tourism in the state.
