Hundreds of people died in the sudden flood in Nepal. So far 538 people have died due to this flood and thousands are missing. Dozens of Indians are among those killed. Apart from India, hundreds of tourists from many countries of the world have gone missing. Rescue operations are being conducted to find those who are buried under the soil. Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry of India has given information about Indians by holding an important press conference.
Regarding the sudden flood in Nepal, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that 21 Indian citizens who had come from the flood affected area in Kathmandu yesterday, have reached Delhi today. All these 21 Indian citizens are from Tamil Nadu.
What did the Foreign Ministry say?
The ministry said, 'On Thursday, our ambassador met all the 21 people in Kathmandu and inquired about their well-being. Apart from these 21 Indian citizens, yesterday we had given you information about 63 Indian citizens working in Trishuli Forest Hydropower Project. He was also rescued yesterday. Apart from these 21 and 63, we have learned that 96 Indian citizens stranded on the Chinese side have safely entered Nepal by land route. Efforts are going on to evacuate them.

320 Indian tourists missing
Jaiswal said that at present we are not able to contact 320 Indians. That means 320 Indian tourists have gone missing in Nepal. Of these, 100 are Indians who have gone on many Kailash Yatra, Manasarovar Yatra but they believe in other nationalities.
400 Indian citizens on their way to China
Randhir Jaiswal said, 'We have 400 Indian citizens on the Chinese side. They are safe. He is in touch with his family. Our Embassy is in touch with many of them. Many of their families have also contacted us through the helpline numbers of our Embassy in Beijing. Our embassy is in touch with the local authorities in China and they are finding out how these people present there can be evacuated.

Indian aid being given to Nepal
The Ministry of External Affairs further said that as soon as this accident happened, we started our humanitarian assistance efforts on the same day. India sent the first aircraft to help Nepal on the evening of 26 August. It contained 10 tonnes of relief goods, which included temporary shelter, blankets, hygiene kits, solar lamps and medicines. Subsequently, the second aircraft departed yesterday, August 27. This special flight is carrying 37.5 tonnes of relief goods, which includes medicines and food items. India is also going to send the third flight to Nepal.
The rescue operation is being carried out with caution
More bodies are being recovered during search and rescue operations after the Nepal floods. Meanwhile, the operation is being carried out with caution in view of the danger of flooding again due to rise in the water level of a lake formed due to avalanche on the Tibetan border. Nepal Police said in a statement that bodies were recovered from eight districts.
According to police, 134 bodies have been recovered from Nawalparasi East, 221 from Chitwan, 46 from Gorkha and 37 from Nuwakot. Similarly, 33 bodies have been recovered from Dhading, 28 from Tanahun, 27 from Nawalparasi West and 12 from Rasuwa. According to the statement, search and rescue operations continued on the third day of the incident. For this, 7,451 security personnel were deployed, including 2,391 Nepal Army personnel.
