4 drunk youths chased women's car on Haridwar Highway, the entire act was captured on camera.

New Delhi: A case of harassing a group of women and chasing their vehicle on the highway in Haridwar has come to light. After the video of the incident surfaced, the police took action and arrested four youths. It is alleged that all four were under the influence of alcohol and were misbehaving with the women passing by. The incident is being reported from Bahadarabad area. According to the police, the four youths were traveling in a white WagonR car with Delhi number. The car number is stated to be DL3CBC-9887.

It is alleged that the youth, in an intoxicated state, created a ruckus on the highway and started arguing with other passers-by, including women. During the incident, the women made a video of the entire incident with their mobile phones. In the footage, a young man is seen and heard trying to stop the women's car. He repeatedly asks to stop the car. The women objected to the youth being drunk and asked them to first get rid of the intoxication of alcohol.

When the video went viral, the police came into action

The matter reached the police after the video of the incident surfaced on social media. Haridwar City Superintendent of Police Deepak Singh said that in the viral video, information was received about some youths misbehaving and harassing women passing on the road. Taking the matter seriously, the police issued an alert for immediate vehicle checking. After this the team stopped the WagonR on the basis of its description and identification of the vehicle. All four youths were present in the car and they were taken to the police station.

Medical examination confirms drinking alcohol.

The police got the four youths medically examined. The investigation confirmed his alcohol consumption. After this, the police took action under Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act in the case of drunken driving. Other sections related to violation of traffic rules have also been imposed. Police seized the car and initiated challan proceedings as per rules. During the action, the four youths folded their hands and apologized to the police and assured of not committing such a mistake again in future.
