Honda Cars India, in order to regain its lost market share, is getting ready to dive deep into the SUV segment in India. For this, it is getting ready to increase the number of SUVs in its portfolio in India. These upcoming SUVs will range from petrol to hybrid and electric vehicles. So, if you are someone who loves Honda cars and has been waiting for new SUVs from the company, here are four new models that will be launched in India.
The most highly anticipated Honda SUV that will be launched in India will be the all-new 0 Alpha electric SUV. What is interesting is that it will be Honda’s first locally manufactured electric SUV for India. And the company has announced that it will be launched on December 2. Honda originally showcased the 0 Alpha concept at the Japan Mobility Show in 2025.
The production version is expected to retain a number of design elements from the concept, including an upright front fascia, distinctive LED lighting and a relatively boxy silhouette. Another major highlight is that the electric SUV will be manufactured at Honda’s Tapukara facility in Rajasthan. Apart from catering to the Indian market, the company will also export this model to Japan and other international markets.
Moving inside, the upcoming electric SUV is expected to receive a modern dashboard, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster and several premium features. However, Honda has not officially revealed its battery capacity, power output or driving range. The production-spec model is scheduled to be revealed on December 2, 2026; however, deliveries will commence in January 2027.

Honda discontinued the CR-V back in 2020, and since then, the company has not brought this SUV to the Indian market. However, it has now been reported that Honda is planning to launch the next-generation CR-V in India by 2027. It will be positioned above the Elevate and will target premium SUV buyers.
The next-gen CR-V will be based on Honda’s lighter modular hybrid platform and will share over 60 percent of its components with the new Civic and Accord. Powertrain duties will be handled by a new 2.0-litre petrol hybrid setup paired with new electric motors and a high-voltage battery pack. Honda is also expected to offer an e-AWD setup where the rear wheels will be powered by an independent electric motor.
In terms of features, it is expected to offer a massive 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ADAS, premium interiors and a more spacious cabin. Once launched, it will rival SUVs like the Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tayron. Pricing is expected to start from around Rs 45 lakh and could go up to Rs 55 lakh.

Coming to one of the most important upcoming models from Honda, it will be an all-new compact SUV. This SUV will measure under four metres in length. Honda has officially announced plans to introduce an India-focused model in this vehicle category from 2028. The upcoming sub-4-metre Honda SUV will take on the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
The last Honda SUV in this segment was the WR-V. Now, the upcoming compact SUV is expected to help the company return to this highly competitive segment. As for the design, it could get styling inspired by Honda’s newer global SUVs. And on the inside, it is expected to get a practical cabin with modern features and improved connectivity.
Talking about the powertrain, Honda has not revealed any engine specifications. However, the company has highlighted that petrol, hybrid and electric technologies are part of its broader strategy for India. The new model is expected to launch in 2028, and it will most likely be priced in the range of Rs 9 to 15 lakh.

The last new SUV in the Honda lineup for now will be a brand-new mid-size SUV. According to reports, the upcoming model could replace the Elevate as it has not been able to perform as expected. At the moment, Honda has not confirmed its final design, dimensions or any other major details.
As per the reports, along with petrol engine options, the company could also launch it with a hybrid powertrain. Honda already offers hybrid technology in a number of its international models, and there is a possibility that this new model could use an existing hybrid powertrain from other Honda cars. Once launched, this new mid-size SUV is expected to take on the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and many others.
