4000 doctors practicing without license renewal in Haryana, preparation for action

In Haryana, the council is examining the records of 4 thousand doctors who did not get their medical registration license registered within the stipulated time. Many doctors are treating patients in government and private hospitals without renewing their licenses. In such a situation, the council is preparing the list of these doctors. This list will be submitted to the Director General of the Health Department.

Haryana Medical Council Chairman Dr. Satish said that not only will action be taken against these doctors, action will also be taken against those hospitals which are taking the services of unlicensed doctors. Let us tell you that at present only about 37 thousand doctors are registered with the Medical Council in Haryana.

It is mandatory to get registration done every five years, so that the record remains updated as to how many registered doctors there are in the state. This initiative to monitor license renewal and fix accountability of hospitals is not just an administrative action, but is also related to the interests of the patients. Ensuring availability of registered doctors increases accountability in the health system.
