Noida:The cry for women's safety, the resolve to respect women and a new flight of self-reliance! Under the ambitious mission Shakti Abhiyan 6.0 of the Uttar Pradesh government, such a picture of women empowerment was seen in Noida which spread the message of safety and awareness to the people. More than 500 girl students took part in the grand walking awareness rally organized under the leadership of Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar Police and gave a clear message that women are now not only a symbol of their own security but also a powerful voice of change in the society.
In this rally, which started from Government Girls Inter College, Village Hoshiarpur, located in Sector-51, the girl students made people aware by holding placards of important telephone numbers of women safety and emergency services. Women policemen, teachers, health workers, Asha workers, ANMs, Home Guards and representatives of various departments also enthusiastically participated in the rally.
Safety message given through helpline numbers
In the rally, people were made aware by giving information about 1090 women helpline, 112 emergency police service, 181 women helpline, 1098 child support service and 1930 cyber crime helpline. The girl students gave the message that in case of any kind of abuse, harassment or cyber crime, instead of maintaining silence, one should contact the concerned support service. Mission Shakti teams, Swayam Siddha teams and anti Romeo teams of various police stations of Noida zone also participated in this event. The message of women's safety, self-confidence and social participation emerged prominently throughout the program.
The power of women empowerment shown under the leadership of officers
Organized under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Women Safety) Suniti and operation of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Manisha Singh, this campaign underlined the commitment of the police towards women safety. Through the rally, an appeal was made to the general public not to ignore any misbehavior with women and if necessary, immediately inform the police.
Mission Shakti 6.0 organized on the auspicious occasion of Navratri
This awareness program organized on the auspicious occasion of Shardiya Navratri gave new energy to the resolve for women's respect and safety. The objective of Mission Shakti 6.0 is not only to assure safety to women, but also to make them aware of their rights and move them towards self-reliance. The message is clear: respect for women, recognition of society, its safety, responsibility of all of us! Commissionerate Gautam Buddha Nagar Police reiterated its resolve to empower women and girls through such awareness programs in future also.
