A sensational case of murder of a six-year-old child due to hindrance in love relationship has come to light in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh. The child’s mother has been arrested on charges of murder. Giving information, the police said that the woman’s lover has already been arrested in this case.
Meerut Superintendent of Police (Rural) Abhijeet Kumar said on Friday that a case was registered on June 16 at Bahsuma police station on the complaint of a woman. The woman had alleged that Arpit Sharma of Muzaffarnagar had taken the six-year-old child away in the car and there was a possibility of something untoward happening to him.

The murderer confessed to the crime
He said that after his arrest, during interrogation, Arpit Sharma confessed to his crime. He told that he and the woman Gurpreet Kaur were in a love affair. The child was becoming an obstacle in the love relationship, that is why he murdered him and threw the body in the forest of Hastinapur area.
Mother’s involvement also came to light
According to Abhijeet Kumar, at the behest of the accused, the police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. The knife and car used in the murder were also recovered by the police. The Superintendent of Police said that on the basis of investigation and other evidence, the involvement of the child’s mother Gurpreet Kaur has also come to light, after which the police arrested her on Friday.

He said that Arpit Sharma has already been produced in the court and sent to jail, while Gurpreet Kaur has been produced in the court for remand proceedings. According to the police, action has been taken in the case under sections of murder, destruction of evidence and Arms Act.
