8th Pay Commission blast! A huge jump in the salary of 1900 grade payers is certain?

New Delhi. Expectations among government employees regarding the 8th Pay Commission are continuously increasing. This change is being considered very important especially for the employees working in 1900 grade-pay (pay level-2). It is estimated that after the implementation of the new pay structure, there may be a significant increase in their basic salary.

Current salary and possible changes

At present, the basic salary of employees under 1900 grade pay is around ₹ 19,900. But after the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission, the increase is considered certain on the basis of fitment factor. This factor can range from approximately 1.92 to 2.86. If the minimum estimate of 1.92 is considered as the basis, then the basic pay can increase to around ₹ 38,000. At the same time, this amount may be even higher in maximum estimates.

What can be the total salary?

With the increase in basic salary, dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance (HRA) and other allowances are also added. In such a situation, the overall gross salary is expected to reach around ₹ 45,000 to ₹ 48,000 or more.

Impact of DA merger

A major change in the 8th Pay Commission is also believed to be that the existing Dearness Allowance (DA) can be included in the basic pay. This may see a big jump in the initial salary structure and will have a direct impact on the total income of the employees.

What does this mean for employees?

Lower grade employees may benefit most from this possible change. For those whose income is limited, this increase can prove to be a big relief financially. Especially the enthusiasm regarding this is being seen among the employees who have been waiting for the salary revision for a long time.
