India climbed to the top spot in Group A after a 93-run win over Namibia in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 match on February 12. The Men in Blue dethroned Pakistan from the No.1 place after their second consecutive win. Chasing 210, Namibia were restricted to 116 runs in 18.2 overs. Louren Steenkamp (29), Jan Frylinck (22), Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton (13) and Gerhard Erasmus (18) were the only batters who stayed in the middle for sometime. Varun Chakravarthy took three wickets while Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya added two scalps each to their bowling figures.
Earlier, India managed 209/9, with Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya scoring fifties. The Indian National Cricket Team suffered a batting collapse, losing five wickets for 12 runs in the last two overs. Ishan amassed 61 runs off 24 balls, with the help of 6 boundaries and 5 sixes.
Hardik was unstoppable with the bat, posting 52 runs in 28 balls, including 4 fours and 4 sixes.
Sanju Samson (22 off 8) and Shivam Dube (23 off 16) were also magnificent for the Asian team. Namibia skipper Erasmus picked up four wickets and conceded 20 runs from his four overs.
India and Pakistan have four points each from two matches, but the former is ahead because of a better net run-rate. Meanwhile, India will clash with Pakistan in their next match on February 15, and the winner of the match is going to finish No.1 after the league stage.
