Chief Minister Rekha Gupta dismissed rumors on Pink Saheli Card

New Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta rubbishes rumors of ‘one free journey per hour’ on Pink Saheli Card. He said that as soon as they tap the pink card, women are getting the ticket immediately and they can travel for any length of time.

Releasing a video on social media platform He said that the Pink Saheli Card is fully functioning.

The Chief Minister said that some political people are trying to spread this rumor through propaganda that if you travel in a bus with a pink card, tap it once and then get down and board another bus, then it is not tapped. Women of Delhi can travel with the Pink Card by tapping the bus any number of times, even if they tap another bus after 5 minutes, they will get the ticket.

The Chief Minister said that 45 lakh people travel daily in Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses, out of which about 20 lakh are women. Earlier, there was no account of the money given by the Delhi government for these 20 lakh yatras (or say 10 lakh sisters). 20 lakh was written as 30 lakh or 40 lakh was written. Money was being taken without any accounting. In this, some people were given benefits through corruption.

He said that the biggest advantage of Saheli Pink Card is that now every time you go and come by bus, its correct account will be noted. Whatever money has to be given to the government, it will be given directly, without any corruption and without any personal gain. Those who wanted that this expenditure should continue to benefit some private person without accounting, that is not happening now. That’s why they are suffering.

The Chief Minister said that pink cards will continue to be made for three months. Women do not need to panic, there is no need to stand in long queues.
