Change in the program of the group going to Pakistan on Khalsa Sajna Day

Amritsar . On the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Day, there has been a change in the program of the group going to visit Gurudhams in Pakistan. Giving information, Chief Secretary of Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee, Kulwant Singh Mannan said that earlier the group was to leave on April 12, but now according to the new schedule, the devotees will leave for Pakistan on April 10 and will return on April 19.

He said that 1860 passports have been sent by SGPC for this yatra and about 1800 devotees have got visas. Huge enthusiasm is being seen among the Sangat to visit the Gurudhams that remained in Pakistan after the partition of 1947. Meanwhile, rejecting the news of restrictions being imposed on the travel of single women, the Chief Secretary clarified that no such decision has been taken by the SGPC. Every devotee has complete freedom to visit Gurudhams.

However, in view of security, he advised that if women take a family member or partner with them, then there will be convenience during the journey. He said that traveling collectively as a group ensures both cooperation and safety. The Chief Secretary said that the main objective of SGPC is to provide better facilities and proper care to the devotees, so that they can take full advantage of their spiritual journey.
