Because a new online payment app has been launched for feature phone users. Both Bank of Baroda and Reliance Jio have partnered. Both the companies have jointly launched the bob World Lite app to strengthen the digital ecosystem. This app is specially launched for feature phone users. Available on JioPhone Prima 4G devices, this app will work as per the vision of Government of India and Reserve Bank of India. Digital payment facility can also be made available for feature phone users under this.

JioPhone Prima 4G users will get the facility of bob World Lite app

The newly launched bob World Lite app will be available to customers of Bank of Baroda as well as other banks. To use the new app users have to follow a simple and straightforward process to install bob World Lite app on JioPhone Prima 4G device. With the help of this new app, users will be able to use UPI-enabled scan and pay with features like remittance, money transfer, mobile recharge, bill payment and profile management. New features are also going to be added soon in this new bob World Lite app. Under the partnership between Jio and BoB, the bob World Lite app will be pre-loaded on the JioPhone Prima 4G device and users will get access to the app directly on the home screen. bob World Lite app is not only for Bank of Baroda customers but customers of other banks will also be able to use this app on JioPhone Prima 4G devices. This app is specially launched for feature phone users and is based on low bandwidth and lightweight architecture, which makes it easy to run on feature phones i.e. keypad phones.
