Let us know the truth behind this

Whenever we talk about nature, the first thought that comes to our mind are trees and plants. Trees and plants not only provide us with oxygen but also protect us from heat. While keeping the environment pure, they also help in making the earth alive. For this reason, trees and plants are called “Oxygen Bank of the Earth”.

Most of us like to visit green places because almost every person likes greenery and it seems impossible to imagine life without trees and plants. But just consider, what would happen if there were no trees in a country? This sounds very strange, but there are some countries in the world where there are almost no trees or they are negligible. The surprising thing is that the people there are living a normal life. So, let us know about some such amazing countries:

Greenland- As soon as we hear the name of this country, pictures of greenery, forests and trees start appearing in our minds. But the truth here is completely different from this. Most of Greenland remains covered with snow throughout the year, here only snow is visible from far and wide. It is so cold in this area that it is almost impossible for trees to grow, although small plants or bushes are definitely found in some places. But if we talk about big trees, there are almost none. According to historians, this place was named “Greenland” to attract people to come and settle here. But in reality this place has nothing to do with greenery.

Queue- Qatar is a very rich and modern country which is known for its magnificent buildings and royal and luxury lifestyle. The airlines and infrastructure here are famous all over the world. People spend a lot of money to go and visit here, but if we talk about nature, then very little greenery is seen in Qatar. Most of the area of this country is desert and there is very little rainfall. Because of this it becomes very difficult for trees to grow here. However, now the Qatar government is making efforts to improve the environment. Here, work is underway on a plan to build a big “man-made forest” i.e. artificial forest, in which thousands of trees will be planted. It is believed that this could be one of the largest man-made forests in the world.

Oman: Apart from the above mentioned countries, the number of trees and plants in Oman is also very less and here also almost no natural greenery is seen. Till 1990, the situation was so bad that the forest area here was recorded at almost zero percent, that is, there was not even a trace of forests in the country. However, with time, some institutions and organizations have started initiatives to improve the environment. They are trying to create man-made forests by artificially planting trees, so that greenery can be increased here. Yet, despite these efforts, Oman has little greenery and consists mostly of dry and desert areas.

How is life going on without trees?

People here are using modern technology and other means of natural balance. The balance of oxygen in these places is maintained through sea breeze, small plants and global atmosphere and at the same time, currently air purification and green technology is also playing a big role in creating oxygen.
