Sarita Mor’s name is quite popular in Indian women’s wrestling. Sarita is a freestyle wrestler and has brought glory to the country by winning medals at international forums. Sarita Mor was born on 16 April 1995 in Sonipat district of Haryana. Many wrestlers have emerged from this district who have made a name for themselves on national and international platforms.
This also had an impact on Sarita Mor and she decided to pursue a career in wrestling. Although she was also a very good Kabaddi player in her childhood, her love for wrestling and hard work brought her great success in this game.

He made his debut at the senior level in 2014 and attracted people’s attention with his excellent performances in the following years. Between the presence of the famous Phogat sisters and Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik, Sarita Mor has had to work hard to make her mark in Indian women’s wrestling.

Sarita has tried her best to represent the country in the Olympics, but her dream has not been fulfilled yet. Sarita’s preferred weight category is 59 kg, which is not valid in the Olympics. Therefore, Sarita had tried in 57 kg, but she had failed to make a place in the Indian team for Tokyo Olympics and Paris Olympics.

If we look at Sarita Mor’s achievements, she won a silver medal in the Asian Championship 2017 at the age of 22. Subsequently, won consecutive gold medals at the Asian Championships in 2020 and 2021 and a bronze medal at the World Wrestling Championships 2021 in Oslo.

In 2022, achieved world No. 1 ranking in 59 kg freestyle category. In the same year he was honored with the Arjuna Award. This veteran wrestler is currently active in wrestling. Along with this, he is also working in Indian Railways.
