Amarnath Yatra 2026: Starts from July 3, registration opens from today
Amarnath Yatra: Registration for this year’s holy Amarnath Yatra, starting from July 3, has started from today. Devotees can register themselves through the official website of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board or through more than 554 authorized bank branches across the country. These banks include Jammu and Kashmir Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), Punjab National Bank (PNB), ICICI Bank, Yes Bank and Axis Bank.
Register quickly, slots are limited
This time too, booking is being done on ‘first come, first served’ basis. A limited number of passengers will be allowed daily for each route. The special thing is that the slot for any date will be closed 7 days before the yatra, hence devotees have been advised to register as soon as possible.
Amarnath Yatra: Travel permit and RFID card will be available
After completion of the registration, a ‘Yatra Permit’ will be issued to the devotees, which will have complete information about the date, route and entry time of the Yatra. Keeping security in mind, this time every passenger will also be given an RFID card, through which their real-time tracking can be done.
Amarnath Yatra: Only these people will get permission
This time, health rules have been strictly enforced in view of the difficult climb and altitude. Only people between 13 and 70 years will be eligible to travel. At the same time, women more than 6 weeks pregnant will not be allowed to travel.
CHC certificate required
It will be mandatory for all passengers to submit ‘Compulsory Health Certificate’ (CHC) issued by an authorized doctor or medical institution after 8 April 2026. This certificate will be verified before issuing the final travel permit.
The holy journey will last for 57 days
Amarnath Yatra: This year the Amarnath Yatra will last for a total of 57 days, which is longer than previous years.
