UP becomes ‘bhatti’: mercury rises by 10 degrees in a week, Banda crosses 42 degrees, know how the weather will be for the next 5 days
With the beginning of the second fortnight of April in Uttar Pradesh, the fierce nature of nature has started becoming visible. Within the last seven days, there has been a huge jump in the maximum temperature of the state by an average of 10 degrees Celsius, which has prematurely transformed the state into a ‘furnace’. Strong sunlight and hot winds (heat) blowing at a speed of 15-20 km per hour have made it difficult for people to leave their homes.
Banda scorched, mercury crossed 40 in Tajnagari and the capital.
The data of the last 24 hours has worried even the meteorologists. Banda was the hottest district of the state, where the mercury touched the level of 42 degrees Celsius. Talking about the capital Lucknow, the temperature here was recorded at 40 degrees Celsius. Due to the scorching sun, silence has started spreading on the streets in the afternoon.
Noida and Western UP
On the other hand, the heat of the sun is at its peak in Noida, Ghaziabad and Meerut also. Even in Taj city Agra, the mercury has crossed 40. This means that the heat of the sun has started making people uncomfortable here. There is a possibility of the temperature rising by 3 degrees in the coming days.
How will the situation be in Bundelkhand and other districts?
If we talk about other major cities of UP like Jhansi, Prayagraj, Kanpur and Varanasi, the effect of heat is visible here too. A rapid increase in temperature is being recorded. Extreme heat is also being seen.
Heat wave alert in Purvanchal
The Meteorological Department has issued a special warning for the districts of Purvanchal. Heat wave alert has been given in Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Basti, Mirzapur, Ballia and Jaunpur due to scorching heat. At present the sky is clear and due to the absence of any Western Disturbance, there is no hope of relief.
Temperature likely to rise further by 4 degrees in next 5 days
According to IMD, the heat wave is going to increase further in the next 4-5 days. This means that the next week may start with extreme heat. It is important for the people of UP to start preparing for the coming days in advance. Do not leave the house in the afternoon unless necessary. According to the estimates of the Meteorological Department, there may be an additional increase of 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature.
Why is the temperature rising?
The reason for increasing temperature is the mood of the weather. The last fortnight of April is going on. Therefore, it is inevitable that the heat of the sun will increase. But just as rain and cold winds had kept the temperature low in the past days, a sudden big change has been seen in it. All the districts of the state are currently in the ‘Green Zone’, which means that the weather will be dry and the sun’s rays will directly heat the surface.
