PM Modi Appeals To Opposition: There has been a lot of politics for four decades, now is the time… PM Modi appeals to the opposition to vote in favor of the Women’s Reservation Bill.

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a message to all political parties in which he has called upon the opposition to vote in favor of women’s reservation. PM Modi said that the eyes of crores of women of the country are on all of us, on our intentions, on our decisions. Please support the government in amending the Narishakti Vandan Act. There has been a lot of politics on this issue of women’s reservation in the country for four decades. Now is the time that half of the country’s population should get their rights. It is not right that even after so many decades of independence, Indian women have so little representation in the decision-making process.

Modi posted on Twitter, currently the amendment in the Narishakti Vandan Act is being discussed in the Parliament. The discussion continued till 1 o’clock on Thursday night also. A reasoned answer has been given to remove the misconceptions that have been spread. Every doubt has been resolved. The information which was lacking has also been given to every member. Whatever issue of opposition there was in anyone’s mind, it has also been resolved. Voting is going to take place in the Lok Sabha shortly now. I urge and appeal to all political parties to please think carefully and take a decision with full sensitivity and vote in favor of women’s reservation.

The Prime Minister further said, on behalf of the women power of the country, I will also request all the members not to do anything which may hurt the sentiments of the women power. Let us tell you that while speaking in the Lok Sabha yesterday, PM Narendra Modi had told the opposition that if they did not support the government in women’s reservation, it would prove fatal for them. Along with this, regarding delimitation, Modi had guaranteed that whether it is South, North, East, West, small states or big states, this decision process will not discriminate against anyone.
