At Jacqueline’s request, the court ruled that she would have to submit a formal application directly to the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The court clarified that the investigating agency will decide whether to grant her pardon on the basis of her response and cooperation.

Jacqueline Fernandez recently told a Delhi court that she wants to witness a pardon in a money laundering case involving thug Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The court told Jacqueline that she would have to submit a formal application to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to do so.

As per the procedure, such an application is first submitted to the investigating agency. The system will then record their statements and decide whether to file an application in court to make them witnesses for the pardon.

The development comes months after the Supreme Court refused to quash the criminal proceedings against Jacqueline Fernandez in the case.

Sukesh Chandrasekhar was accused of showering Jacqueline Fernandez with expensive gifts. According to reports, he spent over Rs 7 crore on her. The gifts included precious jewellery, four Persian cats and a horse worth an estimated Rs 57 lakh.

Not only this, Sukesh also showered expensive gifts on Jacqueline’s family. Her parents, who live in Bahrain, were given two luxury cars, a Porsche and a Maserati worth approximately Rs 1.89 crore. Not only this, her brother was gifted an SUV and her sister a BMW car worth approximately Rs 1.25 crore.
