RCB is going to create a unique history! 100th IPL match in Chinnaswamy, team will field in green jersey against DC

Bengaluru: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is going to achieve a special achievement in IPL 2026. RCB will play its 100th home IPL match in the match against Delhi Capitals (DC) on May 18.

This match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium will make RCB the first team in IPL history to have played 100 matches at the same venue.

RCB’s record in Chinnaswamy

RCB has played 99 matches on this ground so far, in which it has got 48 wins, 46 losses, 1 tie and 4 inconclusive matches.

This season, RCB has won all three matches on its home ground, due to which it is considered to have the upper hand against DC also.

RCB will play in green jersey

This match against Delhi Capitals is also special because the RCB team will take the field wearing green jersey. This jersey is made from recycled material under the environmental protection campaign ‘Green Initiative’.

RCB has been playing one match in green jersey every season since 2011. However, the team’s record in the green jersey has not been very good. So far, there have been only 5 wins in 15 matches, while 9 have been lost and 1 match remained inconclusive.

Last season, in this jersey, RCB defeated Rajasthan Royals by 9 wickets.

Great form of RCB this season

RCB has played 5 matches so far in IPL 2026, out of which it has won 4. The team is at second place in the points table with 8 points.

This match to be held at Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 18 can be memorable for RCB in many ways – the record of 100th home match, green jersey and a chance to strengthen their position in the points table.
