First batch of Indian pilgrims reached Saudi for Haj, 1.75 lakh pilgrims expected to attend this year

Jeddah. The Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia said that the first batch of Indian Haj pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia on Saturday as part of the annual Haj pilgrimage. Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia said in its post on Wazzan and His Excellency Engineer Ayad Abdul Rahman Rahbini and other senior Saudi officials.

The embassy said Khan inspected the facilities at Madinah airport and met volunteers from the Indian community assisting Haj pilgrims. The Embassy wished all Indian Haj pilgrims a ‘smooth, safe and spiritually enriching Haj experience’.

Earlier on Friday, Khan visited the Indian Haj Pilgrim Office and Haj Clinic and reviewed the preparations for the Haj pilgrimage, the embassy said. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, a total of 1,75,025 people are expected to visit Saudi Arabia for Haj this year.
