Haj pilgrimage has started, do you know its story?

Haj pilgrimage has started on 18 April 2026. Many people from different places in India are going to Saudi Arabia for Haj pilgrimage. This year, the Minority Ministry has made arrangements for the pilgrims. This time Haj pilgrimage can be completed in a shorter period of 20 days, more people will be able to undertake Haj pilgrimage. According to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, about 75 thousand people are going to perform Haj this year.

Hajj pilgrimage is considered the most sacred journey in the Muslim religion. Muslim religion believes that every Muslim person should travel to Hajj at least once in his life. During the Hajj pilgrimage, people go to the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia and visit the Kaaba, the holiest shrine in Mecca.

According to religious belief, every prayer of the people is accepted by performing Hajj. Because of this, not only India but many Muslim people from all over the world go to Mecca to perform Hajj. Now the question arises that what is the tradition and belief of Haj pilgrimage.

What is the importance of Hajj pilgrimage?

According to Islamic belief, Hajj pilgrimage is one of the five pillars of Islam, following which is considered very important for the people of Islam religion. Now the question arises that what are the five pillars of Islam religion.

hajj journey In the religion of Islam, it is believed that Hajj i.e. pilgrimage should be done at least once in one’s life. According to religious belief, Hajj is not just a journey but a symbol of self-purification, peace and tranquility.

Roza -This word means fasting, that is, people who believe in the religion of Islam should fast in the holy month of Ramadan.

zakat – In the religion of Islam, it is believed that a financially strong person should give charity.

salat – This word means to pray. Every person should offer Namaz five times a day.

Shahada – The religion of Islam believes that every person should consider Prophet Muhammad as the messenger of Allah.

How did this journey begin?

According to Islamic beliefs, Allah had asked Prophet Ibrahim to call people to visit the Kaaba. After that the Prophet had called people there for Hajj i.e. pilgrimage. From then till today the tradition of Hajj has been going on. Apart from Mecca, people performing Hajj also visit other holy religious sites like Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina.
