From Parashurama to Nara Narayana, what is the story of Vishnu’s incarnation on Akshaya Tritiya?

Akshaya Tritiya is one of the most auspicious dates of Sanatan Dharma. Lord Vishnu is worshiped on this day. According to religious belief, on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, the results of worship, charity and other auspicious works increase manifold. This date is important in Hindu religion because on this day Lord Vishnu took three incarnations in different eras. On this day Lord Vishnu had assumed incarnations like Parashuram to Nar Narayan.

 

For this reason, on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, three incarnations of Lord Vishnu, Parashuram, Nara Narayana and Hayagriva are discussed. The main objective of these incarnations was to establish religion and eliminate unrighteousness. Now the question arises that why did God take the incarnations of Parashuram, Hayagriva and Nar-Narayan on the day of Akshaya Tritiya.

Why did Lord Vishnu take the incarnation of Parashuram?

 

According to mythology, a king named Sahastrabahu ruled in Mahishmati city. He was extremely proud of his powers. He harassed the people of his kingdom, insulted women, and also disrespected Brahmins by calling religion and Vedas false. One day he reached the forest with his subjects, where he went to the ashram of sage Jamadagni and started resting there. Seeing this, sage Jamadagni extended hospitality to the king. For information, let us tell you that the father of Lord Parshuram was Jamadagni Rishi.

 

Sage Jamdagni had the Kamadhenu cow as a blessing from Lord Indra, which was considered extremely miraculous. He had collected fruits from the forests for Sahastrarjuna’s food. Seeing this, King Sahastrarjun asked Kamadhenu cow from sage Jamadagni but the sage refused. After this the king got angry. He destroyed the ashram of sage Jamdagni and started taking the cow with him but the cow ran away from there and went to heaven. When Parashurama came back from the forest and saw the condition of his house and the insult to his father, he became angry. After this he killed the king. In this way he ended injustice by destroying the arrogant Kshatriyas.

Hayagriva’s incarnation

 

According to religious stories, once the demon Rasatala had stolen the Vedas of Lord Brahma. After this, Lord Brahma went to Lord Vishnu for the protection of the Vedas. Then Lord Vishnu took the incarnation of Hayagriva. It is considered to be a major incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Hayagriva killed the demons and handed over the Vedas back to Lord Brahma.

 

What is the leela of Nar Narayan incarnation?

 

According to mythology, Nar-Narayan is considered to be the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu propagated religion through this incarnation. In this incarnation, Lord Vishnu was born as two brothers. One was named Nar and the other was Narayan. Both brothers performed rigorous penance and propagated the religion in the mountains of Uttarakhand. Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham were established at these holy places.
