The accused himself is a high school and intermediate pass, but after watching movies and serials, he has cheated people of lakhs by blackmailing them by posing as fake CBI officers and customs officers.
In fact, on April 4, a woman named Iqra, resident of Shahpur police station area of the district, while giving a written complaint, had told the police that a few days ago, she had started talking to a person named Hidayatullah through WhatsApp. This conversation was being conducted by none other than Mansoor Ahmed of Delhi.
Gathered all the information by pretending to be a sister
During this time, he first collected all the information by making Iqra his sister and then created a fake ID with his girlfriend Rosie. Then he started cheating Iqra and her family by posing as a CBI officer and sometimes as a Customs officer. When Iqra, upset after being cheated of Rs 5 lakh, lodged a complaint, the police registered a case in this matter. Then with the help of surveillance, they started tracking this love couple and on Sunday, this fraud love couple of Delhi got caught by the police.
Police have also recovered three debit cards, three mobile phones, one fake ID, one fake search warrant, one passbook and cash worth about Rs 2 lakh from the accused.
Till now 20 people have been victimized
During police interrogation, girlfriend Rosie and boyfriend Mansoor Ahmed told that to meet their expenses, they used to trap innocent people through social media by watching films and serials. They get their information and then use fake IDs to cheat them of lakhs of rupees by threatening them. It is being told that till now this loving couple has made about 20 people their victims and defrauded them of lakhs.
