KKR vs RR: Rinku Singh turned the match, Kolkata won the lost game.

Kolkata : After the excellent performance of the bowlers, thanks to the innings of Rinku Singh (53 not out) and Anukul Roy (29 not out), Kolkata Knight Riders registered their first win in the tournament by defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR) by four wickets with two balls to spare on Sunday. This is KKR’s first win in seven matches. KKR, which had lost six wickets for 85 runs, was given a four-wicket win by the pair of Rinku Singh and Anukul Roy by scoring 161 runs in 19.4 overs. There was an unbeaten partnership of 76 runs between the two batsmen.

Chasing the target of 156 runs, KKR had a very bad start and lost the wickets of Tim Seifert on the very first ball and captain Ajinkya Rahane on the second ball of the second over without opening the account. KKR’s third wicket, Cameron Green, fell in the form of 27 runs in 13 balls in the fifth over. Angkrish Raghuvanshi (10) returned to the pavilion after scoring 10 runs in the seventh over. Rovman Powell was out after scoring 23 runs in 20 balls. In the 14th over, Ramandeep Singh (10) was out as the sixth wicket after scoring 10 runs.

At such a time of crisis, Rinku Singh and Anukul Roy handled the innings and scored runs and both the batsmen displayed brilliant batting and gave their team the first win in the tournament. Rinku Singh hit the winning six off the ball of Brijesh Sharma. Rinku Singh scored 53 runs in 34 balls hitting five fours and two sixes. Whereas Anukul Roy remained unbeaten after scoring 29 runs from 16 balls. He also hit two fours and a six in his innings. Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets for RR. Joffra Archer, Nandre Berger, Ravi Bishnoi and Yash Punja dismissed one batsman each. Earlier today, RR won the toss and decided to bat first.

The opening pair of Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal displayed stormy batting and gave a good start to Rajasthan Royals by adding 81 runs for the first wicket. Varun Chakraborty ended this partnership by dismissing Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the ninth over. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 46 runs in 28 balls hitting six fours and two sixes. In the 11th over, Varun dismissed Dhruv Jurel (five). In the next over, Sunil Narayan gave a big blow to RR by dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal. Jaiswal scored 39 runs in 29 balls, hitting four fours and two sixes. After this, KKR bowlers put an end to RR’s run scoring by taking wickets continuously. Captain Riyan Parag (12) was also dismissed by Varun Chakraborty. Donovan Ferreira (seven) was dismissed by Sunil Narine. Ravindra Jadeja (nine) and Ravi Bishnoi (zero) were dismissed by Karthik Tyagi. RR scored 155 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. Karthik Tyagi and Varun Chakraborty took three wickets each for Kolkata Knight Riders.
