IMD issues alert in 15 states, disaster will rain from the sky, know today’s weather update

IMD Weather Forecast: Only half of the month of April has passed when the sun has started showing its harsh attitude. Hot winds have started blowing in the plains of North India since morning and by afternoon the roads have become deserted. From Delhi to Bihar, people are drenched in sweat and hoping for relief.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department i.e. IMD has made a shocking prediction. On one hand, the mercury is crossing forty degrees, while on the other hand, a major alert of storm and rain has been issued for fifteen states of the country. This dual nature of weather has brought both trouble and relief to the people. Let us know what game nature is going to play in your city today.

Big crisis due to stormy rain in 15 states

According to the latest report of the Meteorological Department, the weather is going to change suddenly in large parts of the country. The department has warned that in the next few hours, there may be dust storm and stormy rain in fifteen states. The wind speed is going to be very high in these areas, due to which weak structures and trees can be damaged.

Big states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh are included in this list. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the northeastern states also. This situation has arisen due to suddenly activated atmospheric pressure, which will not only give a few moments of coolness in the midst of summer, but will also bring with it the danger of lightning.

Deadly attack of heat wave in UP and Bihar

While on one hand there is talk of rain, on the other hand the heat is wreaking havoc in many districts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The temperature in cities like Varanasi and Prayagraj of Uttar Pradesh has broken all records. The maximum temperature in Prayagraj has reached 44.6 degrees Celsius, while in Varanasi it has been recorded at 44.2 degrees. The scorching sun and dry western winds have made it difficult for people to leave their homes.

The danger of heatstroke is also looming in Seemanchal and eastern parts of Bihar. Hot winds are blowing here in the afternoon which can directly affect the health. The Meteorological Department has clarified that even though there is a possibility of rain in the coming days, at present there does not seem to be any major relief from the scorching sun and heat.

Heat wave in Delhi NCR too

The humidity in the capital Delhi and its surrounding areas i.e. Noida and Gurugram has made the condition of the people miserable. The temperature in Delhi remains between 39 to 41 degrees Celsius. There are light clouds in the sky. In the morning, the speed of cold winds is about fifteen kilometers per hour, but as soon as the sun rises, these winds turn into hot gusts. Delhiites will have to face sticky heat for the next one or two days. The minimum temperature is also expected to be around 20 to 22 degrees.

Snowfall on the mountains and rising mercury in the plains

There is still a possibility of snowfall and light rain in the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The temperature in Shimla is quite pleasant, due to which the crowd of tourists is increasing. Even in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, the effect of cold has not completely ended. Here the mercury reaches near zero at night. Although the hot winds coming from the plains are melting the snow in the mountains, a new western disturbance may trigger snowfall again.
