“Take reservation for 175 years, not 75, we don’t want”, Constitution was made by 242 MPs together: Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh

Ayodhya: In the program organized on the occasion of Parshuram Jayanti in Ayodhya, former BJP MP from Kaiserganj Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh gave a statement regarding the reservation system and the Constitution. He said in clear words, “Take reservation for 175 years, not 75, we do not need it.” In his address on Sunday, Brij Bhushan Singh said that even today many traditional communities are away from the mainstream of development. He said, “How much good has happened to you in these 75 years? Even though the Mandal Commission came, it has not been completely good. Although some people have definitely benefited, but those who were actually entitled have benefited. Those who became backward among the advanced people have benefited, but the traditional communities like blacksmiths, potters, carpenters and oilmen have not benefited.”

Regarding the making of the Constitution, he said that “the Constitution was made not only by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, but also by 242 MPs.” Referring to ‘Kashi ji’ in his address, he said that he was a social worker and he worked to educate the society. Brij Bhushan Singh said, “If you want to see the advanced society today, then see – we work as laborers in cow sheds, pull rickshaws and labor in temples. We are also working as sanitation workers. We have decided that we will not oppose reservation.”

He further said, “We left Rajpath and Zamindari with consent, we have no regrets about it, but the expected change is not coming in your life. Because there are some real and fake people in your society, who are sitting in high places and do not want to let you come up.”
