Lucknow. There is a tussle going on between the ruling party and the opposition regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai (Ajay Rai, President, Uttar Pradesh Congress) in a press conference held on Monday at Nehru Bhawan, 10 Mall Avenue, the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters in the capital Lucknow, has made a scathing attack on the BJP on the issue of respect and representation of women. He said that BJP should tell how many women it has appointed till now to the highest positions like Prime Minister, Chief Minister and Speaker? Ajay Rai said that in the year 2023, a video of thanks from Prime Minister Narendra Modi was shown on the Women’s Reservation Bill, but even today women have not received real respect and participation.

While making a personal attack on PM Narendra Modi, Ajay Rai said that when will Jashoda Ben be honored? If the woman who was brought home after marriage is not given respect, then what respect will BJP give to the women of the country? He alleged that he was put under house arrest when he expressed his desire to attend his mother-in-law’s funeral.

Congress Party has always promoted women in leadership.

Ajay Rai said that the Congress Party has always promoted women in leadership and Congress has done the work of giving the country the maximum number of women Prime Ministers and women Chief Ministers. He said that Congress gave decisive responsibilities to women, not just symbolic ones.

Former MLA Louise Khurshid said that BJP, which does politics in the name of women, should first increase the participation of women in its organization and governments. He said that Congress has been continuously fighting for the rights, respect and equal participation of women.
