How does Google Gemini’s personalized image creation work?
The new update released for Google Gemini is based on the Personal Intelligence System and its Nano Banana 2 image generation model. Both the Personal Intelligence System and its Nano Banana 2 provide Gemini with information about Google apps that users have connected to their accounts. For example, users will now be able to use short and simple prompts such as just design my house or draw a picture of essentials on my deserted island, rather than having to share all the details with a huge prompt. After these prompts Gemini will generate the photo based on the information received from the connected app.
If users link to the Google Photos library, labeled photos of people and animals can be used to guide the Gemini image creation process. This will allow the AI to incorporate the user’s real-life people into the images it creates.

Also, Google has made it clear that the personal Google Photos library will not be used directly to train the Gemini models.
