This 4-lane road will be built in UP, great news for 6 districts
Lucknow. Another major step has been taken towards strengthening the road infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh. Approval has been given for the construction of a new outer four lane road from Lucknow’s Intauja-Mahona, Kumharwa to Deva-Chinhat via Kursi in Barabanki. More than Rs 468 crore will be spent on this approximately 27 kilometer long project. This road will not only reduce the traffic pressure but will also give a new impetus to the development of industrial and rural areas.
Why is this four lane road special?
The project is based on converting the existing two-lane road into four lane. The special thing is that there will be no need to acquire additional private land for road widening, because sufficient government land is already available on both sides. With this, the project is expected to be completed faster.
Heavy vehicles will get big benefit
Till now, heavy vehicles coming from Purvanchal used to pass through Lucknow and Barabanki city, where they had to wait for hours due to no-entry and traffic jams. With the construction of this new outer four lane, heavy vehicles will get a direct alternative route without entering the city. This will reduce traffic jams, save time and fuel.
Industrial areas will get a boost
This road will directly connect industrial areas like Kursi, Deva and Chinhat. Also, by connecting to Kisan Path, this route will prove to be very important for trade and logistics. This will provide better transportation facilities to industries and increase investment opportunities in the area.
These districts will benefit directly
Apart from Lucknow, Barabanki, this project will provide better connectivity to districts like Sitapur, Lakhimpur, Bareilly, Pilibhit and Bahraich. This route will emerge as an alternative and faster option for people traveling to and from Purvanchal.
