Nitish silently went to Rajya Sabha, why did the entire top leadership of JDU remain silent?
Janata Dal United (JDU) President and party’s biggest leader Nitish Kumar resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Bihar on 14th of this month. Earlier, he had taken oath as Rajya Sabha MP on 10 April. Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office and secrecy to him in a brief ceremony in his chamber in the Parliament House. With this oath it became clear that Nitish Kumar would leave the post of Chief Minister of Bihar for two decades.
As soon as Nitish Kumar resigned from the post of CM of Bihar on April 14, there was disappointment among the entire Chief Minister’s Secretariat and the people of Bihar. People appeared emotional over his resignation. Also, during the farewell ceremony, many ministers, MLAs and officials were seen crying. Ever since Nitish had talked about going to Parliament as a Rajya Sabha MP, JDU leaders like Ashok Chaudhary were trying to persuade him not to leave Bihar and go to Delhi.
Nitish Kumar quietly left Rajya Sabha
There was disappointment and confusion among the workers and they could not understand why Nitish Kumar was leaving Bihar and going to Delhi. He was asking the question who will lead the party next? But, the biggest question that arises amidst all this is that what were the second, third, fourth and fifth leaders of JDU doing between the announcement of Nitish Kumar going to Rajya Sabha and his resignation? In fact, in this development it was seen that Nitish Kumar silently became a member of Rajya Sabha and the entire top leadership of JDU remained silent.

What did the top leadership do?
At present, the most powerful leaders in Janata Dal United after Nitish Kumar are the party’s executive national and MP Sanjay Jha, Union Minister Lalan Singh, Minister Vijay Chaudhary and Minister Ashok Chaudhary. As soon as Nitish expressed his desire to go to Delhi, the media reached out to these powerful leaders. Trust in the leadership of Nitish Kumar
However, during this time everyone made a strategy to handle the emotionally agitated party workers and included Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar in JDU. After joining the party, Nishant told the workers in Patna, ‘Don’t worry, we and Papa are still there.’ Seeing Nishant, there was enthusiasm among the party workers for some time. Apart from this, the top leadership of JDU unanimously expressed confidence in the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
many questions arose
The opposition criticized the actions of these leaders a lot. He said that these leaders agreed with Nitish Kumar but no one tried to stop them. Also accused of working at the behest of BJP. Bihar’s main opposition party RJD even said that the entire top leadership of JDU has weakened Nitish Kumar at the behest of BJP. Jan Suraj leader Prashant Kishore has also made the same allegation.
