Tied to a chair, blindfolded; Woman burns her lover alive on the pretext of proposal
A hair-raising example of how terrifying the fire of passion and revenge in love can be has been seen in Anjanapura, Bengaluru. Here a 27-year-old girl called her boyfriend to her house on the pretext of giving him a surprise proposal and tied him to a chair and burnt him alive. The police have arrested the accused woman. The deceased has been identified as Kiran (27), who worked in a telecom company along with the accused Prerna.
According to the police, Kiran and Prerna were in a relationship for the last one year but recently their relationship had turned sour. Prerna was extremely upset that Kiran was ignoring her and was not ready for marriage despite repeated requests. In this feeling of resentment and revenge, he conspired to remove Kiran from the way and on Tuesday morning, when no one was at home, he called her on the pretext of meeting.

On the day of the incident, when Kiran reached home around 10 am, Prerna engaged him in conversation. After some time, she told Kiran that she wanted to propose her in a unique foreign style. For this, he blindfolded Kiran and tied her hands and legs tightly to the chair with a rope. Kiran felt that maybe she was going to get a lovely surprise, so she allowed herself to be tied without any resistance.
Boyfriend kept burning alive, girlfriend kept making videos
As soon as Kiran became helpless, Prerna showed her true and cruel face. He poured the previously prepared petrol on Kiran and set her on fire. Since his hands and legs were tied, Kiran could not save himself and within no time he was burnt alive. The shocking thing is that accused Prerna recorded the video of this entire incident on her mobile phone. She continued recording even while Kiran was burning, which shows her cynicism and cruelty.

After committing the crime, Prerna tried to mislead the police. She claimed that Kiran set herself on fire while she was in the bathroom. However, the police did not believe his words. After investigating the incident site and examining the CCTV footage, it was found that Kiran had not brought any inflammable substance with him. After this, when the police interrogated her strictly, Prerna’s lie could not last long and she confessed to her crime. Police have registered a case of murder and started further action.
