Karan Johar’s talent management COO Rajeev Masand has offered an inside look into Ananya Panday’s career trajectory.
In an exclusive interview with Unfiltered Entertainment, Masand spoke at length about the process behind celebrity positioning.
He told the outlet, “One has to try to become the person they are positioning themselves as. As a team, you need to have those hard conversations, sit down and ask, ‘Where we are and where we want to go.’ It has to be done collaboratively.
“I don’t think a team can chart out your career or plan your strategy. It really works when you and your team align yourselves with a goal that you collectively want to achieve. You need to make the right choices what brand or film is leading you toward that goal.”
Speaking highly of Ananya and her talent, the former journalist highlighted that it is important to remain steadfast and dedicated despite coming from a strong background.
He said the Kho gaye hum kahan star possesses all these qualities.
“If you ask for an example, I would point to Ananya. She is a great example. She is lovely. She came to us four years ago and has had a few releases. She is also bright and young. Many of the other kids were criticized during the nepotism debate. But she stood out as someone ambitious and willing to work very hard,” Masand added.
For the unversed, Ananya began her career with Student of the Year 2, which was produced under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
