Heatwave alert, mercury will cross 42 degrees in Delhi! IMD issued warning regarding heat
Delhi-NCR Weather: In the country’s capital New Delhi Heat Has started showing its fierce form in the early days of April itself. The temperature is continuously increasing and people’s lives are getting affected. Amidst the scorching heat, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a serious warning about the coming days.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heat wave in Delhi between April 22 and April 24. During this period, the maximum temperature can reach 42 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 22 degrees. Due to clear sky and strong sunlight, the heat will be felt more intense in the afternoon.
How will be the weather of Delhi for the next 3 days?
IMD estimates that the maximum temperature of Delhi may increase by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius during the next three days. Due to continuously clear sky and dry weather, people have been advised to take special caution during the afternoon.
How will the weather be in UP-HR and Punjab?
Along with heat wave, the situation of ‘hot nights’ will continue in Haryana, due to which the temperature will remain above normal even at night. Severe heat and dry weather is expected to persist for the next 4-5 days in both western and eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh. There are chances of heat wave in Punjab also due to strong sunlight and clear sky.
How will the weather be in the hill states?
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh on 24 and 25 April. In Himachal Pradesh, there is a forecast of rain with thunderstorms and strong winds at the speed of 30 to 50 km per hour on 25 and 26 April. Apart from this, there is a possibility of a new western disturbance becoming active in these areas from April 23, due to which there will be a change in the weather.
Heatwave alert in which states?
The Meteorological Department has warned in its latest report that heat wave may trouble people during the next few days in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Odisha and Union Territory Chandigarh.
Rain alert in which states?
There is a possibility of rain in Arunachal Pradesh on 22 April, while a rain alert has been issued again on 25 April. Rain may continue in Assam and Meghalaya from 22 to 27 April. There are chances of rain in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 22 April. There is a rain alert in Bihar on 24th and 25th April. There may be rain and thundershowers in West Bengal on April 26, while in Sikkim there is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall at some places on the same day.
