A tragic road accident took away the happiness of many families in Valsad district of Gujarat. Six people died on the spot, while several others were seriously injured when a pickup vehicle overturned near Veerkshetra in Kaprada area. It is being told that a total of 28 people were traveling in the vehicle, which included members of the same family.
Injured admitted to nearest hospital
This accident happened when the family members were returning back to their village after attending the ‘Aanu’ program. As soon as the information was received, police and 108 ambulance teams immediately reached the spot and started relief work. The injured were immediately admitted to the nearest hospital, where their treatment is ongoing.
According to preliminary investigation, the cause of the accident is said to be the driver losing control. At the time of the accident, the pickup van was climbing a hilly road. Meanwhile suddenly the vehicle started sliding backwards. It is being told that the brakes of the van suddenly stopped working, due to which the situation became more serious. The driver tried to control the vehicle, but he was not successful and the van went out of control and overturned.
All the people who lost their lives in this accident are said to be residents of Girnara village, who had gone to attend the Anu program organized in Kolvera village. During his return, this accident became a fate for him.

The local administration is busy investigating the matter and efforts are being made to find out the exact cause of the accident. This accident once again highlights the need for road safety and technical inspection of vehicles.
