Royal Enfield Royal Enfield is gearing up to expand its Himalayan series. The company is currently developing a new version under the codename D4G, which may be named the Himalayan 440, according to reports. Along with this, the more powerful Himalayan 750 as well as the electric Himalayan are also expected to be launched in the market in the future.

What will be the special features?
According to reports, the upcoming Himalayan 440 may use some components from the old Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 and the engine of the Royal Enfield Scram 440. Currently the Scram 440 is Royal Enfield’s only 440cc bike. Himalayan 440 can be presented as a more economical and affordable option in this series.
Introduction to Himalayan 411
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 bike was famous for its simplicity and robust construction. The new Himalayan 440 is also likely to be based on the same principle. It can get features like switchable ABS and tripper navigation like the Royal Enfield Scram 440. However, premium features such as riding modes and traction control may be omitted to keep costs down.

Engine and Performance
The Himalayan 440 is likely to be largely similar to the Royal Enfield Scram 440 in terms of hardware. It may be powered by a 443cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Regarding the performance, this bike can generate approximately 25.4 hp of power and 34 Nm of torque. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 had a 5-speed gearbox and produced 24.3 hp of power and 32 Nm of torque.
Suspension and tires
In this new bike, the frame can be kept largely the same as before, but longer suspension travel can be given to enable more off-roading. The old Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 had 190 mm front and 180 mm rear suspension travel. The new Himalayan 440 is likely to get 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, which are likely to have tube tyres.
