Renault Duster reliable but a little behind

Renault Duster also performed well, but in this comparison it comes third. It provides good protection to key body parts, but the chest and leg protection ratings are slightly lower, leaving it behind the Seltos and Sierra. However, the performance of all three was almost the same in the side impact test.

Children’s safety is most important for the family

If we talk about the safety of children, then both Renault Duster and Kia Seltos are at par. Both have scored 45 marks out of 49. Their performance was similar on every parameter in dummy test, dynamic crash and child seat installation of 18 month and 3 year old children.

TATA Sierra is also not far behind here. It scored 44.73 out of 49. The special thing is that it got 12 out of 12 points in child seat fitment, which makes it very reliable for family use.

Essential features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, ISOFIX and rear parking sensor are standard in all three SUVs. Kia Seltos gets extra features like rear-view camera, downhill brake control and rear occupant alert. Whereas TATA Sierra has advanced features like level-2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring and electronic parking brake with auto hold.
