If there is no PUC, you will not get petrol, strict instructions from Delhi CM Rekha Gupta
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken a big and very strict decision to deal with the poisonous air and increasing air pollution in the capital Delhi. The Chief Minister on Wednesday directed officials to strictly implement the ‘No PUC, No Fuel’ rule at all petrol pumps in Delhi. After this order, now vehicles without valid pollution certificate will not get fuel at any petrol pump or gas station in Delhi.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has clearly said that now strict steps will have to be taken to make Delhi’s air better and healthy. He told that this campaign had started in December last year but the review revealed that still many people are driving vehicles without valid PUC certificate. The Chief Minister said in clear words that now no relaxation will be given in this matter. To reduce pollution, the government will adopt ‘zero tolerance’ policy, that is, strict action will be taken against those who break the rules.

vehicles will be confiscated

To make the rule effective at the ground level, the Chief Minister has jointly assigned the responsibility to the Food and Supplies Department, Transport Department, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and Delhi Traffic Police. The officers have been warned in a strict tone that if any negligence or carelessness is found in the implementation of this rule, disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned officers.
