Rajasthan end two-match losing streak with a 40-run win over Lucknow in IPL 2026

Rajasthan Royals defeated the Lucknow Super Giants by 40 runs to end their two-match losing streak in IPL 2026. Defending just 159, the Royals dismissed LSG for 119 in 18 overs. The biggest disappointment of the match was Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant, who scored a duck.

Mitchell Marsh was the top run-getter, amassing 55 runs off 41 balls, laced with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from Pant, Ayush Badoni and Aiden Markram were also dismissed without troubling the scorers in the LSG vs RR match.

Nicholas Pooran (22 off 25) and Himmat Singh (15 off 15) were the other two batters who entered the double-digit mark in Match 32 of the 19th season of the tournament.

Jofra Archer (3 wickets), Brijesh Sharma (2 wickets) and Nandre Burger (2 wickets) bowled well for Riyan Parag’s side at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.

Earlier, Rajasthan found batting difficult in the first innings, managing just 159 for 6 in 20 overs. Ravindra Jadeja was superb with the bat, accumulating 43 not out in 23 deliveries, with the help of 2 fours and 1 six.

Yashasvi Jaiswal (22 off 12), Riyan Parag (20 off 19), Shimron Hetmyer (22 off 18), Donovan Ferreira (20 off 19) and Shubham Dubey (19* off 11) made useful contributions.

Mohammed Shami, Prince Yadav and Mohsin Khan got rid of two batters each.

Rajasthan Royals have reached the second spot while Lucknow Super Giants are ninth in the standings.
