Amidst all these developments, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has tightened the noose on Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders. Will the impact be seen on Bengal elections?

It is noteworthy that voting will be held in two phases on 294 assembly seats of West Bengal. The first phase is on April 23, in which voting will be held on 152 seats. So the second phase will be held on April 29, when voting will be held on the remaining 142 seats. The results will be declared on 4 May 2026.

The Supreme Court’s comment has come just before the elections, which has further heated up the political atmosphere. Now can this affect voting? Or may Mamata Banerjee suffer some kind of political loss from this? All these questions have also been raised.
