Its main objectives are to gain greater political and economic rights in the Sistan-Baluchistan region and to fight against alleged discrimination against the Baloch people, but Iran and many other countries consider it a terrorist organization.

Jaish al-Adl is mainly active in Sistan-Baluchistan province of Iran, Balochistan region of Pakistan and border areas of Afghanistan. It has been attacking Iranian police and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets. There have been many clashes between security forces and this organization in Rask area.

Iran alleges that this organization spreads instability in the south-eastern parts of the country and targets security forces. The activities of the organization have been going on for years, due to which there is constant tension in the area.
