According to reports, the first attack took place in At-Tiri village in southern Lebanon, where a vehicle was targeted. In this attack, two people traveling in the vehicle died on the spot. After this, danger started looming for the journalists who reached the spot.

IDF alleges Hezbollah was breaking ceasefire

The Israeli military, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), said it targeted two vehicles in southern Lebanon that came from a base linked to Hezbollah. According to the army, this action was taken to prevent possible danger.

According to Lebanon’s National News Agency, two journalists who arrived to cover the first attack were later hit by another airstrike. Both of them got buried under the debris in this attack on a building in the village. One of these, female journalist Amal Khalil, who was associated with the local media organization Al Akhbar, died.

Israel attacked during relief rescue

The IDF says it took this action because Hezbollah violated the ceasefire. According to the military, two Hezbollah members crossed the “forward defense line” in the Saluki region of southern Lebanon and came close to Israeli troops, posing an immediate threat.

At the same time, Lebanon’s Information Minister Paul Morcos has strongly condemned this attack. He issued a statement on social media platform He also demanded to ensure the safety and independence of the media.

Israeli attacks continue in Lebanon

The IDF said in its statement that airstrikes were launched to control the situation and that operations in the area were still ongoing. These incidents have made it clear that despite the ceasefire, the tension at the ground level has still not reduced.
