Seeing the growing demand for electric cars in India, many auto companies are launching their electric cars. However, havoc struck when the popular electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla launched its electric car. Tesla Model Y is an electric SUV launched by the company.
Tesla has played a new game in the Indian electric car market. The company has launched a new variant of the Tesla Model Y, Model YL, in the Indian market with an ex-showroom price of Rs 61.99 lakh. Keeping in mind the needs of the Indian customers, the company has made many changes in this new car.

What is special?
The biggest highlight of this new car is its 6-seater layout. Globally, the Model Y is generally available in 5-seater form, but for India, Tesla has introduced it as a Long Range AWD 6-seater. Interestingly, this new variant is around 9% cheaper than the smaller model.
Performance and range
Tesla is known for its speed and battery capacity. The car offers a range of around 681 km (WLTP) once fully charged, which makes it perfect for long-distance journeys. Also, this car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds. It features a Dual Motor AWD system, which provides better grip and balance on various roads.
Features and charging
The Tesla Model Y features a large 16-inch touchscreen. A separate 8-inch screen is also available for rear passengers. This car is very efficient when it comes to charging. With 250 kW fast charging support, the car can be charged enough to drive around 288 km in just 15 minutes of charging.
Self driving feature
This car also has the option of Tesla Full Self-Driving technology. However, customers will have to spend around Rs 6 lakh extra to use this feature. The company has clarified that the driver needs to be constantly alert while using this feature.
