Bhooth Bangla Crosses Rs 127 Crore Worldwide in Six Days
Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy Bhooth Bangla crossed Rs 127 crore worldwide in six days, maintaining momentum despite mixed reviews and competition from Dhurandhar 2.
The film earned Rs 6.15 crore in India and Rs 2 crore overseas on Day 6, bringing its global gross to Rs 127.37 crore. India’s net collections now stand at Rs 78.90 crore, while gross domestic earnings reached Rs 93.87 crore. Overseas collections total Rs 33.50 crore.
The Priyadarshan directorial opened strongly, crossing Rs 100 crore worldwide in just four days. Paid previews on April 16 added Rs 3.75 crore before the official release on April 17. The film collected Rs 12.25 crore on Day 1, Rs 19 crore on Day 2, and Rs 23 crore on Day 3. After a dip on Day 4 with Rs 6.75 crore, the movie rebounded on Day 5 with Rs 8 crore.
Industry trackers noted that Bhooth Bangla ran across 11,584 shows nationwide on Day 6. The film’s steady performance highlights Akshay Kumar’s continued box office appeal and his successful reunion with director Priyadarshan after 16 years.
The ensemble cast includes Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta, Mithila Palkar, Rajesh Sharma, and the late Asrani in his final screen appearance.
With strong collections and positive audience turnout, Bhooth Bangla has taken the lead over Dhurandhar 2 in its first week.
