New Delhi, 23 April. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the death of 11 people in a road accident that occurred late Wednesday night in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh. He expressed condolences to the bereaved families and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Announcement of ex-gratia amount from PMNRF
PM Modi announced that the next of kin of each person who lost their lives in this accident will be given an assistance amount of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). At the same time, Rs 50 thousand will be provided to the injured.

Expressing his condolences in a post on X, the Prime Minister said – ‘I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the accident in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. I wish for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
