IPL 2026: Mumbai won the toss against Chennai, decided to bowl first

Mumbai. Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bowl first against Chennai Super Kings in the 33rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Thursday. Here today Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first. After the toss, Hardik said that many boxes have been ticked in our team.

There was a lot of intensity in the last match and we needed that kind of match where everyone came and contributed. We just wanted to enjoy the game and things went our way. This pitch may look green but it played well against KKR. Whereas Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad said that we also wanted to bowl first. It was a 50-50 call.

You have to bat well at Wankhede. We are not able to cash some moments. We have to make sure that we take advantage of those moments and win the match. We are ready. Dhoni gets a lot of credit. Unfortunately he is not here at this time. Hopefully we will make them happy today.

Both the teams are as follows:-

Mumbai Indians (XI): Quinton de Kock (wicket-keeper), Naman Dheer, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya (captain), Tilak Verma, Sherfane Rutherford, Mitchell Santner, Jasprit Bumrah, Krish Bhagat, Allah Ghazanfar and Ashwani Kumar.

Chennai Super Kings (XI): Sanju Samson (wicket-keeper), Ruturaj Gaikwad (captain), Sarfaraz Khan, Dewald Brewis, Shivam Dubey, Karthik Sharma, Jamie Overton, Noor Ahmed, Anshul Kamboj, Gurjapaneet Singh and Mukesh Chaudhary.
