Despite charging crores of rupees for a film and earning huge annual income from the reality show Bigg Boss, Salman Khan still lives in a simple two-bedroom apartment in Mumbai. Fans are often surprised by his decision, but the main reason behind it is his own thinking and lifestyle.

Salman Khan has told in many interviews that he likes to be very close to his family. He considers it more important to spend time with his parents, so he never paid much attention to a big and luxurious house. He believes that he does not need much luxury.
22 year old statement becomes reason for discussion
In an interview given on the sets of the film ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ in 2004, Salman Khan had told the real reason for living in his small house. He said that he still lives in a two-bedroom apartment because if his work does not work out in the future, he will at least have a secure home. He also said in a light-hearted manner that he does not need much, just one bicycle is enough.
This statement of his is now again going viral on social media and people are discussing his simplicity.
He also had frank opinions regarding films.
In the same interview, Salman Khan also talked humorously about some of his superhit films like ‘Tere Naam’ and ‘Karan Arjun’. He had said that many times he feels that he did not do much in these films, rather all the hard work was done by the director and the team. Still, the audience liked his characters very much.
Salman said that sometimes one gets praise despite less hard work, while sometimes one does not get that much appreciation even after hard work.

Currently Salman Khan is working on many big projects. His upcoming film ‘Mathrubhoomi’ is in the news, some of the shooting of which has been reshot. Apart from this, he will also be seen in an action film, which is being made by famous South director Vamshi Pedipalli and produced by Dil Raju. Nayanthara is also likely to be seen with him in this film and it is set to be released on Eid next year.
