New Bike: Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z launched with new 349cc engine, know new design and features

New Bike: Amid the changing tax structure in the Indian two-wheeler market, Bajaj Auto has updated its popular bike Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z with a new engine. The company has adopted a strategy to reduce its 400cc range to 350cc in line with the revised GST rules that came into effect from April 1, 2026, under which the NS400Z now gets a new 349cc engine.

No change in price
Interestingly, despite such a big update, the company has not made any change in the price of the bike. The ex-showroom price of the new NS400Z has been kept at Rs 1,93,900 only, making it still an attractive option in the segment.

Engine and Performance
The updated NS400Z has a 349cc single-cylinder engine, which generates power of 40 bhp at 9,000 rpm. Earlier this figure was 42.4 bhp, which means there has been a slight decrease in power. At the same time, the peak torque has also reduced by 1.8 Nm to 33.2 Nm, which is now available at 7,500 rpm. Technically speaking, the bore of the engine has remained the same at 89 mm, but the stroke has been reduced to 56.1 mm, which was earlier 60 mm.

Features and Design
Apart from the engine update, no major changes have been made in the design, mechanical setup and features of the bike. Before this, the company has updated this model with features like better tyres, more power and quickshifter.

Strong hold in the segment
The NS400Z is still considered one of the most powerful naked street motorcycles in its category. The combination of affordable price, strong performance and premium features makes it a strong contender in the sub-400cc segment.
