Starting off with the base variant, BMW is offering this model in a single Cosmic Black colour option. However, despite being the entry-level trim, the base variant comes fairly well-equipped with features. On the design front, it gets the typical GS styling inspired by bigger models like the BMW R 1300 GS.

It features a prominent beak, LED headlamp with integrated DRLs, and a tall adventure stance. In terms of features, the base variant comes equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display, which offers Bluetooth connectivity, navigation support, and detailed ride information. Other features include full LED lighting, adjustable hand levers, heated grips, and a USB Type-C charging socket.

The base variant also gets ABS Pro (cornering ABS), Dynamic Traction Control, Dynamic Brake Control, and engine drag torque control. There are three riding modes on offer as well, which include Rain, Road, and Enduro.

Coming to the mechanical setup, it gets USD front forks with 180 mm of travel and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload. The wheel setup of the F 450 GS base includes a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear setup with dual-purpose tyres. Overall, this variant is more road-focused but still capable of handling light off-road conditions.

Moving up in the lineup to the Exclusive variant, this is the mid-spec trim, and it is priced at Rs 4.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant builds on most of the features offered in the base model but adds more touring- and off-road-focused features. Just like the base variant, it is also offered in Cosmic Black colour. However, it gets additional hardware which makes it look slightly more rugged and adventure-ready.

One of the biggest additions in this variant is Riding Modes Pro, with an additional Enduro Pro mode. This mode allows more aggressive off-road riding by adjusting throttle response and allowing rear ABS deactivation. Another major upgrade is the inclusion of Shift Assistant Pro, which is a bi-directional quickshifter.

This allows clutchless upshifts and downshifts, which improves both performance and rider comfort. Apart from this, the Exclusive variant also gets off-road footpegs, which offer better grip while standing, black handguards for protection, and a plastic engine guard. It also comes with a clear windshield, which improves wind protection during long rides.

Finally, the top-spec GS Trophy variant is priced at Rs 5.30 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the most feature-loaded and off-road-focused version of the F 450 GS. This variant stands out as it is offered in Racing Blue Metallic colour with a white frame and white handguards. It also gets sporty graphics, which are inspired by BMW’s GS Trophy heritage.

In terms of features, it carries forward everything from the Exclusive variant, such as Riding Modes Pro, Enduro Pro mode, and Shift Assistant Pro. However, it adds a number of premium and performance-oriented upgrades. The biggest highlight of this variant is the Easy Ride Clutch (ERC).

This system allows the rider to operate the motorcycle without using the clutch in most situations. It makes riding the bike extremely convenient in city traffic as well as during off-road riding. Another major addition is the sport suspension setup. This setup provides better adjustability and performance during extreme off-road riding.

The GS Trophy variant also gets an aluminium engine guard, which offers better protection in rough terrains. It also comes equipped with a tinted rally-style windshield, which improves the aesthetics and functionality. This particular variant is for serious adventure riders who want maximum off-road capability and premium features.

The affordable adventure motorcycle from BMW is built on a new steel trellis frame and gets USD front forks along with a rear monoshock suspension setup.

It offers 180 mm of suspension travel at both ends. Braking duties are handled by a 310 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc with ABS Pro as standard. It gets a 14-litre fuel tank, an 845 mm seat height, and a wheelbase of 1465 mm. The kerb weight stands at around 178 kg.
