New Delhi: There is increasing resentment among the people due to the closure of roads and increased security in Islamabad due to the news of possible talks between Iran and America. Due to large-scale closure of roads, there is traffic jam at many places in the city. Shops and businesses are at a standstill. Local people are raising questions as to why they are paying the price of geopolitical tensions in other countries.

Pakistan’s roads blocked due to talks between Iran and America 

According to media reports, authorities have tightened security in the capital amid speculations about this high-profile visit. Many main roads have been closed. This has had the worst impact on markets and small businessmen.

Many shopkeepers said that their earnings have reduced to less than half. The condition of daily wage laborers is the worst. Inflation was already spoiling the household budget, on top of that, due to closure of work, people are facing the crisis of survival.

People expressed this displeasure 

People in Pakistan say that clear information is not being given by the administration. Rumors about the visits of foreign leaders and diplomatic talks have further increased the confusion. No one knows how long the restrictions will last.

Expressing his displeasure, 33-year-old Fida Ullah said that the fight is between America, Iran and Israel, but common Pakistanis are bearing the brunt. He said that businesses are closed, unemployment is increasing and people are suffering from poverty and inflation. He appealed that whether there is talks or not, the government should have mercy on the common people.

The public made these allegations 

It is noteworthy that another resident Muhammad Sabir also expressed the same pain. Sabir, standing near the bike, said that people are already troubled by the rising prices. The current restrictions have made the situation worse. He expressed displeasure over rumors of foreign tours.

He said that due to such uncertainty the public is left in limbo. There is no work, no income. He demanded an early diplomatic solution so that life could get back on track. Overall, there is an ‘undeclared lockdown’ like situation in the entire city. There is a strict restriction on the movement of people and livelihood is being directly affected.
