Bajaj Pulsar NS 400Z launched with 350CC engine; Many features will also get power
New Delhi : Bajaj Auto has launched a new 350cc version of its popular Pulsar NS400Z in the Indian two-wheeler market. The biggest reason behind this change is taxation. 400cc bikes attract higher GST, while the 350cc segment is taxed less. This has forced the company to reduce the engine size to keep the cost of the bike under control and make it more affordable.
The new Pulsar NS400Z 350cc features the same liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, but has been slightly downsized. There is now a 349.13cc engine instead of the previous 373cc engine. This modification produces 40.6 PS of power and 33.2 Nm of torque. Although there is a slight reduction in power, the effect is not significant. The company has tuned the engine in such a way that it performs well even at higher speeds. The bike now feels sportier than before when riding fast.
The stroke of this new engine has been shortened, which has slightly changed the characteristics of the engine. Now, the bike performs better at higher RPM. Earlier power was available at low RPM, but now it is available at higher RPM. Now, to fully enjoy the bike you have to ride it a bit faster. It feels even more enjoyable on the highway or on long journeys. Not much change in mileage is expected, as higher RPM may increase fuel consumption slightly.
What is the design and features?
In terms of design and specifications, the new Pulsar NS400Z 350cc remains unchanged. It retains the same aggressive and powerful look that the youth love. It features LED headlights, DRLs, USD front forks and a sporty design. Also, it gets split seats, underbelly exhaust and attractive color options.
